In a utopian future, our health will be monitored continuously by ambient sensors that will finely understand our vital signs, detect nearly invisible health issues, and predict problems before they occur so that we can prevent them from happening at all.

At Norbert, we are building the device and technology that will this future possible. The position

We are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer with a strong emphasis on testing and automation to build the software that runs on our sensing and prediction system.

Within the embedded software team, you will be working closely with hardware and product engineering alongside the research team. Your mission will be to abstract hardware complexity by providing the best software layers to the product and research teams.

What you will do

  • Design, build and maintain the software needed to control ours sensors (radar, cameras, leds, audio board)
  • Develop our toolchain, automated build system, test and performance frameworks.
  • Be in charge of device system and security upgrades
  • Collaborate with the research team to optimize our algorithms to fit into the device
  • Contribute to building a tech culture focused on diversity and excellence


What we are looking for

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Strong coding skills in C/C++, go or python is a plus
  • Hands-on system experience with Linux, including device drivers.
  • Specific technologies/domains/stacks: Yocto, U-Boot, Linux Kernel, BSP, CUDA, NVIDIA Jetson Nano, Gitlab CI/CD
  • Previous experience optimizing/using machine learning algorithms on embedded systems.
